Introduction of Contributory Pension Fund Scheme For The New Entrants

Government of Pakistan Finance Division (Regulations Wing) issued Office Memorandum bearing No.F.9(3)-Reg.6/2015 dated 20th August 2024 and introduced new pension system Contributory Pension Fund Scheme for civil employees of Federal Govt who are appointed on regular basis on or after 1st July 2024. The decision was made in the cabinet meeting in case No.ECC/134/2024 dated 27.06.2024. This scheme shall also be applicable to the Armed Forces employees who are appointed on regular basis on or after 01.07.2025.

The rate of contribution from the employees and the Federal Government is as under:

(i) Contribution @ 10% of the Basic Pay by the employees

(ii) Contribution @ 20% of the Basic Pay of the employees by the Federal Government

This rate of contribution is purely provisional and subject to change.
